National Pony Express Association Reride Arrives in St. Joseph on June 30, 2018

Members and volunteers of the National Pony Express Association will begin their annual reride of the historic Pony Express Trail from June 20 to June 30, 2018. Carrying 1,000 commemorative letters, over 750 riders will participate in this 10-day event spanning over 8 states and 1,966 miles. Traveling day and night, the riders will stop at designated locations along the trail to pass the mochila over to a fresh horse and rider, just as the original Pony Riders would.

This year, the ride begins in Sacramento, California, and will finish here at Patee House Museum in St. Joseph, Missouri. The riders are expected to arrive on Saturday, June 30 are 8:30 p.m.
